I spent the day with sunflowers.

Today, I blew off work. Well, normal work... the typing, phone calls, shuffling papers kind, and instead worked hard at creative bliss. I walked in sunflowers. (That's not metaphorical.) Sunflowers. The big tall kind. I passed them on the way to take Sierra to horse camp, and returned a half hour later with my camera. The bright yellow heads were bowing to the sun, all uniformly standing there facing the same direction. It was absolutely zen. And as close as it can come, I captured it on film.
