Art and Light, Sidewalks and Sunshine
Labels:
foodie adventures
If you haven't been to Pendleton Street in Greenville, SC in the past couple of years, it is worth a look. Who would have thought five years ago that a thriving arts district would bloom among run down furniture stores, broken windows and dilapidated buildings? Today I visited Vitti Tile's new studio space (http://www.vittitile.com/) and met Kyle Buttram (http://www.kylebuttram.com/) in her new gallery. I walked mouth-open-shocked through Art & Light Gallery (http://www.artandlightgallery.com/) and bought a cuff bracelet from the amazing potter/jewelry designer, Lily Stratton (http://www.lilypottery.com/). I don't like cookie-cutter art. I'm always on the look out for new and different... something edgy and unique. For artists whose work takes you somewhere and engages you. My goodness ladies, you have definitely tickled my fancy. Check out their websites!
